I was not expecting getting so into it but "I Raised a Black Dragon" is actually very enjoyable.
Unlike what you would guess when reading the title. Mu's dragon form does not appear often and in fact the whole dragon thing takes a back seat quickly in order to give more power to Noah and her character.
The dynamic is fun to read and the MC is very independent, the guy is ok and I enjoyed how, being adults, they are not sheeping about what they are feeling.
The art is also amazing.
A bit of a shame that it was so short and didn't even show us a ...

If you are looking for something that required some games a little bit romance and comedy then you should definitely read it also have an anime adaption and the anime covers the whole manga with the main events leaving only few chapters.

if I talk about manga the art style is very good. well it suits my tastes . The characters are very well developed how they interact with each other and everything else.

I think many of you will enjoy it if you have interest in games, especially if you are a tekken series lover.

When I started reading this I thought 'wow I’ve never heard of this' so I immediately went to youtube and watched a 2 hour documentary about solar car racing, which was much more interesting than this [I recommend watching that. If you plan on reading this then watch it after] it had heroes/villains & action & many plot-twists [yeah it was a good documentary, guesstimation of 8/10]. A large part of solar racing seems to be the in-depth work in regards to the engineering that the team goes through in making/designing the car but this manga seemed to skip over a lot of that. The ...

I'm writing this review for the light novel. I think if you don't read novel, and want to instead check out the manga. The art is that incredible that it overshadows the source material, and I won't blame it on anyone. It is that good.

I will also keep the review very short. So you can enjoy the book if you like the premise!

For how it is adapted, I didn't really read the manga much to know, but if you want more to the series. The novel is the way.

First. The pacing of the story
It's just a standard slow start and ramping up as the ...

The first 10 chapters are really good. All we know is that we have a group of friends, and the game organisers are trying to break up the friendship by showing doubts and offering money as a reward. Then there's a retcon I didn't really like regarding a certain character. The author repeats this throughout the story. What is established about a character gets thrown out in the next game, all for the sake of a subversion, a twist. Still, it's intriguing and entertaining, till chapter 50 or so, that is. Then the decline into absurdity begins.

There's only so much suspension of disbelief that ...

This is a short, sweet, and sentimental manga. The two main characters aren't explicitly in a relationship, so if that's something that will turn you away from reading it, then be warned... However, despite that, it's definitely still worth a read (and they're very much in love with each other anyway). It's not phenomenal, but it's a good story to spend some time on and it will make you tear up.
The art isn't bad either, there's no glaring errors in it. The more casual take on a vampire plot makes the story a lot more enjoyable, of course one of the main appeals for the ...

To be so brief, as not to include spoilers, I have mixed feelings about this Isekai despite giving it such a high rating.

For the most part, I'd say I would not recommend this story for anyone looking for fantasy elements within a fantasy world, as this story relies heavily on realism and the rawness of humankind in it's most deprecating form. Yet somehow, I found that unapologetic "rawness" to be entertaining.

As I'd seen from another user's review, this story is definitely an implication of a more realistic approach to the misogynistic, self insert, fantasies that are often found prevalent in the Isekai genre. The characters ...

This story has a slightly different take on the time reversal trope. The FL is born with a birthmark on her face that others claim make her a devil and grotesque, but when she goes back in time to live again it vanishes. She has to tackle her trauma associated with her birthmark and family.

The storyline is not completed. The last chapter has the protagonists figure out who the real culprit behind a human trafficking operation is. They plan to go back to the capital to confront them, but no real ending. It was kind of slow, but the romance between the FL and ML ...

I didn't originally plan on making a review, cause I rarely do, but reading through the other ones made me want to.
This story is sorta short, being only 25 chapters, the pacing makes up for it though.
(There aren't any explicit spoilers, by the way)

Kase-san is one of the two best romance genre stories I have ever read.
I'll skip the part where I summarize what the basic story is about, and instead go to the reason I wrote a review.

Kase-san is a rare encounter for me when it comes to romance manga, for one very special reason.
This story, their interactions with eachother, all of it feels ...

In a way you could say that this story at first feels very familiar. Its very reminiscent of "The Secret Garden" with the main charcter appearing in a new splendorous mansion where they meet a person that has been locked off the rest of the world due to their condition that their parents neglect to properly take care of. It's pretty obvious to anyone reading, that the plot will resolve around the mc helping that person go out more, experience the outside and achieve their long lost happiness.

Despite the "predictability" this story has about itself, the events are very diverse. It explores love, friendship and ...

Preliminary (6/6 chp)
This one was weird, and not in a good sense, at all. It felt congested and suffocating reading this. The amount of things inserted into this was too much for mere 6 chapters. It takes 10-15 chapters at the start just to introduce some characters while this concluded its whole story in 6.

Now getting on with the review and talking about the premise, it was not even that good. A girl who hears the sound of ghosts and a man who can see ghosts of places, okay? And both of them had some problems, yeah? Problems which didn't have much weight whatsoever? It was ...

This is one of those books that after completing it the reader comes out with something that ends up affecting them personally, it's the emotional impact, from a very personal semi-biographical story of the author - Jiro Taniguchi - and his late father.

Taniguchi have been one of the most significant contemporary Gekiga authors and it can definitely be seen in the quality of his books, such as in this one, where the realistic artstyle compliments the realism of the story excellently, and this might be the strongest factor that lets this book do and succeed in what it intends to do.

This is not a ...

Hmm.... Futari No Jikan.... it was fine.....

See, it is already dificult for me to review this considering it was axed. While the author did a good job padding up the axe with a decent enough ending, it would be a joke if I say that it was all perfect. It was a rushed ending to a story which did not deserved to get axed. I mean for what it was, I saw it as a decent enough romance manga which was nipped in its bud.

Premise is that our mc is one of the two members of the photography club, another one being his love interest, ...

At this point in time, Fujimoto is defined by his already released works (Chainsaw Man, Fire Punch and the one-shots), but it’s good to see how he was before that!

This volume contains a collection of one-shots before he became famous. You can see that even now, he uses the same humour and style. Which is a good thing, because even when he became famous he staked true to his style.

If you’ve already read his other series and one-shots, you might be surprised to find some call-backs to these one-shots here in terms of character names, designs or concepts.

I’d describe this a great anthology of stories ...

This is new for me. I’ve never seen a “collaboration” between artists, maybe just One and Yusuke Murata, because One can’t draw to save his life.

Unlike Fujimoto’s latest work, this is a short one-shot that is not drawn by him. He created only the story. With this said, you can miss his style just by reading, but you can somehow recognise it’s his story by how everything flows until the end.

I think this is somehow a reference to his own work and how people tend to over-analyze stuff in the manga industry. He always said that he doesn’t like to have dialogue in his manga ...

This is a nice addition to the Chainsaw Man lore. There’s no reason to read this if you haven’t read the Chainsaw Man manga and finished it completely, as there might be spoilers for the main series here and there.

It’s a fun read that gives some of the characters a bit more time to be fleshed out. It reads fast and the illustration present in the book are drawn by Fujimoto himself! While the story is nice, it’s nothing that will blow you out of the water. The highlight of the light novel are Fujimoto’s ilustrations (at least for me).

Would recommend it only to someone ...

Fujimoto did a second drop for the people who were waiting for Chainsaw Man Part 2 at that time and we were there for it! It was a treat to get another volume-long one-shot, which is the second time in my life I’ve seen something like this from the same author.

This one-shot is inspired more from movies than the rest, as you can see from the world building and the paneling itself.

The theme itself is related to movies as recording videos is a big part of the plot. No manga passes by without Fujimoto showing us his love for cinema.

The story impresses with great characters ...

This was a wild ride!

Not your typical one-shot manga as it’s not a couple of pages, but one-volume long!

It goes into the process of writing a manga, with all the things that may be on the author’s mind in the meantime.

Without spoiling too much, the main theme of this manga is regret.

Fujimoto delights us yet-again with his talents when it comes to characters interactions and definition along with his own specific art style.

No reason to not recommend this! Might be his best work to date! As someone who was following Chainsaw Man at that time, this was a true treat while waiting for Part 2!

This is not your typical shounen manga, which is the point of it being published on Jump+.

Story is very different and unexpected, even edgy at times. You will also be bombarded with movie references (as the author is a big cinephile).

The art style is top notch. Most people are not aware, but Fujimoto’s assistants were very experienced people in the manga industry (Spy x Family, Dandadan, Hell’s Paradise, Centuria). So having so many great minds here, you can expect greatness!

I think what defines this manga is the interactions between the characters as well as…pain. The psychological aspect of this manga should not be neglected.

One of the best recent shounen mangas.

At first I wasn’t really sure about it, but shortly it became my favourite manga!

The characters are so likeable and the story is unpredictable. It had me on the edge of my seat a lot of times and reading it weekly makes the waiting for the next chapter a real challenge!

The art style is good, it’s different. But where the author excels the most is the character interactions and the paneling!

While it’s not for everybody, you should at least give it a try. Welcome to the chaotic world of Tatsuki Fujimoto!

ALERT!!! BRAZILIAN REFERENCES ABOARD!!!

Tomie was seen in Liberdade's São Paulo...

Tomie is the typical girl who goes out at night to Liberdade to trick nerds and step on them, I'm sure it would be like that if she were from São Paulo '-'

She is a girl who breaks the hearts of poor boys where she would appear on Cidade Alerta every week being a victim of jealousy from some random guy...

In addition to her beauty, Tomie is almost a goddess (because she can multiply herself), but even with all the men being hypnotized by her, she cannot be satisfied, always wanting to break more hearts.

I never ...

Wow, I wasn't expecting to like it so much. It's basically my first BL, I don't usually read it because I've always heard that they are usually toxic relationships, besides preferring a little more GLs.

The reason why I decided to read this one was because of the appearance of the characters, especially Ryo. I really like this duality, serious face vs the cheerful cute, but especially Ryo's traits were what caught my attention. At first sight, because as the story progressed I came to love Haiga and his personality much more.

However, I found myself reading a super cute romance between two adults, all consensual and ...

Underrated ero-guro artist Maruo Suehiro whose early works regularly make an appearance in plenty "Most disturbing anime" videos on YouTube. First things first, "Inugami Hakase" is not ero-guro. Yes, it is grotesque, yes, it is violent but eroticism does not play an essential role although it still exists on the outskirts. Instead, skilled illustrator that he is, Suehiro shows off his matured art style and plays with images of occultism. Visually the result is quite expressive. Panels are rarely wasted.

While Suehiro's older works are like a fever dream that ooze of (extremely) dark hum,or but still manage to convey genuine feelings about the yearning for ...

Boruto has been a huge letdown for me. It took 20 episodes before I finally admitted how bad it really is.

It leans heavily on Naruto nostalgia but fails to offer anything new or engaging. The characters are bland, the animation is often subpar, and the plot is nonexistent. Skipping episodes feels like you miss nothing because the story just drags aimlessly. I hope all this is inside the infinite tsukuyomi so we don't feel sorry of ourselves...

Boruto himself is the biggest disappointment. As the lead character, most of his personality revolves around his resentment toward his dad, Naruto. The fight scenes are dull, with zero ...

Houseki no Kuni is a manga series that ran in the span of 12 years, beginning in 2012 and finishing in the present year of 2024. As someone whose first contact with this series was through the anime, I couldn't help but feel interested in what the original work had to offer. Initially, I was hesitant because the story creates a significant amount of hype towards the big twist, an idea that is dangerous at first sight - mostly because many series fail in the delivery of the main idea, or just don't know what to do from there on. Fortunately, this wasn't the case ...

I know I shouldn't be judging the author based on their works (and vice versa), but I fear for Negi's sanity. Having read all the currently available chapters in a few days, I am honestly shocked by how it became more and more brutal, pessimistic, cynical and depressing. Especially the IRA arc - yeesh, I hope Negi's okay. After that ended, things were starting to look up a little, but now we're back where we started: frustrating, somewhat pointless-feeling battles that are simply not fun to read.

Not because they aren't well-drawn or anything. Well, the pacing's hella slow, but it's not slow enough to be ...

Toumei na Usui Mizuiro ni is a very enjoyable manga that could be even better if it were longer. The protagonist, Ritsu, is in love with her best friend, Ichika, but Ichika starts dating Ritsu's childhood friend.

Ritsu is a very good protagonist because of her behavior and thoughts regarding Ichika. Ichika, however, is not as developed as the other characters. If the story were longer, we could delve deeper into her character. Shun (the boyfriend) and his dialogues with Ritsu are incredible. He’s a good character that helps us understand Ritsu better.

It’s an adorable manga with a deep protagonist. If you like yuri, I recommend ...

Overall it was a really cute and fluffy story but I felt like ML didn't do much for the story development. Although I like strong FLs for this story it was like all FL and nothing from the ML side. THe start was interesting but I think story lost it's momentum after a while. Side characters were also really cute but I feel like the story doesn't explorre characters deeply from personal story wise. I always knew this manga was bad, but that chapter 269 that's 100% made of inane text really takes the cake... I can't even be bothered to read the final chapter, just like I can't be bothered to make a proper review. Just drop this series at whatever point you are and never come back.

This was an insane ride... Be it the way the traumas are conveyed from all three main leads or the wit that is sprinkled around, this manhwa had great storytelling. I binged it in two days and I can say that I am exhausted from the heavy themes. Hari is a great character to follow and the way the events are mostly explored from the fragments of her memories was so captivating. I cried at the last dozen chapters. I started for the romance bit but found myself real invested in the actual story after reading just a couple of chapters.

So this one is a really fun-good story to read!

I feel like this had more potential to be something bigger but its ok! the ending is still nice

Its really good too see the ML steadily improving and becoming a better person, his dinamics with the FMC (or the Saint) Is really good and provide us many funny moments.

But for me the best thing of this manga is the art! Its reaaaaaaaaally good! everything is so pretty and the FMC is gorgeous

If you enjoy slice of life-comedy with a biiiit of romance you should definetly give this one a try!
Sep 13, 2024
This is one of the most wholesome mangas you will ever read! You will also be really jealous of the main couple!

Most of the time we are seeing the daily life of a couple (which are FMC and MMC) FMC is really funny and you will probably fall in love with her while reading this! MMC becomes better after some chapters! Their chemistry is pretty good and really funny too

Now I just want to be loved lol

I don't want to spoil too much so I will just say that this is something you should definetly read If you like romance-comedy stories!

Psych house is Omusuke Kobayashi's first attempt at a full serialization and Weekly Shounen Jump's latest axe. The series got heavy criticism in Japan for the main character stealing in chapter 1 (even if she had good reasons) and it never managed to recover. But that doesn't mean the series is bad by any means. And here is why.

First point of judgement is the art and it is solid. The world is very vibrant, while also being very detailed. The character designs fit right into the world and tehy fit perfectly with the super power (Psych) theme of the series. The art is very consistent, ...

First of all, I recommend this manga, but it's worth saying that it's not for everyone.
He is everything I usually hate in romance, the development of the couple is very slow burn, there are a lot of misunderstandings and the plot is the lack of honest communication. If you hate conflicts that can be resolved just by the couple sitting down to talk honestly, this might not be for you.
I thought I would hate it, in fact I got really stressed out about it and thought about quitting. But it's really funny, maybe because I've been following both the manga and the anime for over ...

It's cute. There's not much going on, just their day to day life being a couple of friends, but married and with opposite lives and personalities. I thought there would be a little more development and depth about their relationship, but it's simple. Something to read and relax and have a little cuteness in your life, very slow burn. I was a little irritated with the protagonists, they're not really the type I like, but they improve and better develop the sensitivity of a partner.
I thought the art was beautiful, I laughed at some moments, but it's a very forgettable story. I don't even know ...

The follow-up to the abstract gamble of part four is a rehash of E-Card from part one. While many may praise the stakes and mind-games between Kaiji and Kazuya, there is really not much difference between the similar stakes and mind-games present in part one. E-Card held up because it was a short arc that complimented a game with such trivial mechanics. The meta-game and twists revealed themselves quickly and resolved themselves quick enough to not lose steam. This rehash suffers by repeating the same game with a blackjack veneer. The gamble is repetative and lacking in any ingenious or imaginitive cheats or meta-game. The ...

Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku (a.k.a. The Fragrant Flowers Blooms with Dignity) might seem like your typical romance/comedy manga at first glance. You have the female protagonist, Kaoruko Waguri, who attends an all-girls school (Kikyo). Yet, despite being neighbours, both schools don't get along really well based on past histories they have had with each other. ...

I liked it but I'm kind of a sucker for high concept manga that try unique plotlines. Objectively speaking without my personal tastes factoring into it, it's not that great and you should only read it if you have very specific interests. It's a jumble of very interesting sci-fi premises very rarely seen in manga brought together in a fascinating combination but executed pretty poorly. An all time classic. Another banger that proves the paradigm that "boys make the best girls". Yui, or rather, Yuuta in Yui's body is hilariously good at bulldozing her way through all of the original Yui's problems, exemplifying once again that Charisma is the best stat. The most stand-out aspect about this is how it handles the genderswap element. Unlike many of the commonly found genderswap manga these days, the genderswap element isn't just a wish fulfillment vehicle or a comedy gag element for the sake of fanservice/humor, it's played out with some thought put into how society's gender roles enforce upon individuals, how sudden ...

I don't think I've seen a series get cancelled before 20 chapters before, this thing must've been completely ignored by readers everywhere! It's got some charming aspects, it's a superpowered slice of life story that has the main character live with a found family of other superpowered goofballs. If you like that premise, then I'd recommend this as it will take you all of 45 minutes max to read the entire series!

The art is fine, but the design of everyone is just not quite to the level it needed to be to stick around and attract an audience. The secondary protagonist in particular wears a ...

Very cute story overall, I enjoyed reading it quite a bit. The two main characters have such an adorable dynamic and their relationship progresses quite fast. The side characters are fun as well and meaningfully contribute to the story.
The art is really nice as well and the entire thing is in full color! I love the cute little animal-personality-chibis the author likes to put in this and her current serialization.
The main conflict of the plot is pretty silly though. Like, when one of the main characters big hangups about their relationship gets revealed in volume 3, I actually had to laugh out loud. It all ...

Tomie is a story of a beautiful girl that's irresistible to men. She smells nice, looks beautiful, and she can get men to do whatever she wants them to do. She drives them mad, and they end up slaughtering her.

Tomie struggled a bit with the art at the beginning. It was hard to tell what the plot was or what was going on. As the story went on, the art got much better. There were some freaky and disturbing panels, connecting to the theme. The theme being the irresistible nature of Tomie. A femme fatale that ...

I will preface that I really loved this manga, it kept me entertained and left me wanting more (in a good way).

I will not go into depth because it would be a spoiler but you'll realize while reading, granted you are familiar with the sci-fi genre, this is a pretty cliché story as far as sci-fi tropes are concerned. But these tropes and ideas, although not original, are explored from an interesting angle and the way they are executed sets this story apart from all other sci-fi stories that simply recycle overdone plots. There quite a few times, especially towards the end, where I found ...

This'll be a pretty short review to mostly just say that this particular anthology manga is pretty good and barely has any connection to Gou even if Gou is in the title.

This manga is an anthology full of multiple different stories from different mangaka and they all have different art styles.
The thing that I want to say the most, is that most of them have nothing to do with Gou at all.

Other than Gou being in the title, the only Gou things about this manga is that a few of the stories use the Gou art style.

This'll be a pretty short review, as this manga is short too, so mostly anything story-wise is almost a spoiler.
Kokoroiyashi-hen is the best epilogue to Matsuribayashi-hen, in my opinion.

The story of this manga is set soon after the conclusion to the main story.
It follows mainly Rika and her huge bucketlist of things that she wants to do now that they are all free.
More specifically, this manga is about her wish to travel somewhere with everyone to have fun.

This anime is about Princess Hime and her entourage as they deal with various supernatural phenomena. Her followers include the werewolf Riza, the vampire Reiri, and android Flandre, her younger sister Sherwood, and her blood-servant Hiro.
