Aerosmith has canceled the June and July dates for its Las Vegas residency as lead singer Steven Tyler seeks treatment for addiction.

The band announced in a statement Tuesday that Tyler relapsed "after foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management during the process."

He voluntarily checked into a treatment program, leading to the show cancelations.

The 2022 tour dates will continue starting in September, according to Aerosmith.

"We are devastated that we have inconvenienced so many of you, especially our most loyal fans who often travel great distances to experience our shows," the statement reads. "Thank you for your understanding and for your support for Steven during this time."

Aerosmith's "Deuces Are Wild" residency at Dolby Live, formerly Park Theater, at Park MGM, was originally scheduled for 24 shows through December this year.

Anyone who purchased tickets for the canceled dates through Ticketmaster will receive a direct refund. Those who bought tickets from other retailers will have to reach out to the point of purchase.
