Marzullo Ends Lt. Governor Quest: Report

The embattled Democratic Selectman filed termination paperwork with the state Thursday.

GREENWICH, CT — Drew Marzullo, the Greenwich Democratic Selectman facing larceny charges, has ended his exploratory committee to run for Connecticut Lt. Governor next year, according to the Secretary of State's Office.

The move to terminate the exploratory committee was first reported by Hartford Courant columnist Kevin Rennie on his blog. Marzullo's paperwork is dated Oct. 20, but the Secretary of State's Office recorded it on Oct. 26.

Marzullo remains on the ballot in the upcoming Greenwich municipal election, where he is seeking re-election to the Board of Selectmen. Local Democrats, however, have pulled party support for him.
