Livigno is the largest resort in Lombardy. It is located in the north of the region in the Livigno Alps at an elevation of 1,816 m (5,958 ft). The resort offers 70 slopes (6 black, 29 red, and 35 blue) with a total distance of 115 km (71.4 mi), as well as 30 km (18.6 mi) of cross country skiing trails. There are 31 different ski lifts (6 cableways, 14 chairlifts, and 11 ski lifts). Due to high altitude Livigno is famous for being one of the most snowsure ski resorts in the Alps.
