In the train he assists the pretty young wife of a grouch, and his actions are misunderstood by her husband. At night, he manages to add to his difficulties by creeping into the wrong berth and finding the woman there. Her screams attract her husband who now goes gunning for the rash young man. Both manage to get back to the train before it leaves. When Jack arrives his fiancée introduces him to her uncle who turns out to be the grouch who caused all the trouble on the train.
