Sendra, a hyper-active, high school senior suffers from seizures that give her visions of the future. On this night she is late to meet up with her friend JP, a broke young black musician who cut a deal with Stefan, a Brown University snob, for JP's dream car, a 1966 Dodge Coronet. Stefan sends his drunk college buddy Edric to close their deal, but Edric shows up late, high on Valium, with a story that the car is still miles away. To get his car, JP and Sendra ride with Edric, who struggles with his addiction and a secret--that withdrawals from Valium cause him to become a hideous monster. After hours on the road, JP finally gets to test drive the Dodge but when he and Sendra pull into the filling station at 3 a.m., they discover a hole in the gas tank. Cops arrive and impound the car for being unregistered and unsafe. JP and Sendra convince Edric to take them home before dawn breaks so she can still make her first day of school. On the ride home, Edric, now out of Valium, morphs into a giant flesh-eating worm and goes on a killing spree which includes eating Sendra. Edric escapes, but Sendra finds herself reanimated and attributes this superpower to her vision where she dies far in the future. Sendra and JP vow to hunt down Edric and all giant flesh-eating worms still attending Brown University. See less
