Franky tells Bram Luc won't bother them today and that he will pipe down from now on. They don't know Luc can hear them from the storage room. Later that afternoon Luc is asleep at his desk when Franky enters. He's still not fully recovered from his hangover. Franky tells him it will regret him they wouldn't be friends anymore. Luc tells him he still has a lot to learn, because he can't have it both ways. Franky is just another employee to him and nothing more. Katrien can finally reach Julia on the phone and tells her the whole story about the earring. Julia gets a fright and tells Guy she has to go home, because Katrien is not well. He immediately knows Katrien talked about the earring and tries to convince Julia he has nothing to do with Fien's death, but she doesn't believe him anymore and is scared. Then he finally confesses to her he was very angry at the time, because of Mayra wanting to split up with him. She fell in love with another woman and he couldn't take it. At the time he hated all women and was drunk when Fien was with him. Fien started screaming and he just put his hand over her mouth until she was quiet. He never intended to kill her. He was very upset about the situation and could hardly take it all in. He had thought about suicide until he met Julia. Suddenly he got a second chance and his life started again. Julia is upset and runs away through the woods leaving Guy behind. Guy feels he has nothing to live for anymore and takes a rope from the boot of his car and goes back into the cabin. While running Julia suddenly remembers Guy's words about almost committing suicide and decides to go back. She goes upstairs, but Guy has locked the door.
