Bridgend

Bridgend (Welsh: Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr) is a toun in the Bridgend Coonty Borough in Wales, 22-mile (35 km) wast o the caipital, Cardiff. The river crossed bi the oreeginal brig, which gave the toun its name, is the River Ogmore but the River Ewenny passes tae the sooth o the toun an aw. Historically a pairt o Glamorgan, Bridgend haes greatly expandit in size syne the early 1980s an haed a population o 39,429 in 2001.[1]
