Compliance of item No.4 (b)(i) to (xvii) of RTI Act., 2005
4(b)(i): - Particulars of Organization, functions and duties.
To commission, maintain, operate, all the electrical assets Viz. Rolling Stock, Traction Distribution & General Services in good fettle over South Central Railway & to exercise functions of EIG over the jurisdiction.
4(b) (ii) - Power and duties of officers and employees.
Powers and duties of Officers and employees are governed by Schedule of Powers (SOP). Officers are required to Co-ordinate and monitor maintenance of Electrical assets in service buildings, Residential buildings of Railways, Electric & Diesel Traction Rolling Stock, maintenance of overhead equipment and power supply installation of Traction Distribution etc., over South Central Railway.
4(b)(iii) - Decision making process including channels of supervision and accountability.
Policy decisions of Railway Board/GM/PCEE will be communicated to the divisions/Workshops for implementation from time to time. Works executed by the divisions are keenly monitored by Head Quarters duly assisting them for Technical guidance, man power and stores to reach the targets.
4(b)(iv) - Norms set for Discharge of functions:
Discharge of functions is ensured as per defined duties and Organizational hierarchy within the delegated powers under Schedule of Powers issued by General Manager’s office, South Central Railway.
Based on the targets received from Rly Board/ PCSO/GM’s office and past performance, targets are set for divisions and workshops for compliance. The divisional/workshop officers execute and monitor the functions.
4(b)(v) - Rules, Regulations, Instructions, Manuals & Records, used for discharging its functions.

4(b)(vi) Statement of the categories of documents held by it or under its control.
Instructions circulated by Railway Board, Research Design & Standard Organization, Chittarangan Locomotive Works, Central Organization for Railway Electrification, Integral Coach Factory in day to day maintenance of electrical assets, from time to time, based on which the electrical assets are maintained on South Central Railway.
