Cyclone Mocha was a powerful and devastating tropical cyclone It killed almost 500 people in Myanmar (Burma) and Bangladesh.[1] The storm was similar to an Atlantic Category 5 hurricane in the northern Indian Ocean. It struck in mid-May 2023 with winds between 150–160 miles per hour.

Another 100 people were missing from the storm.[2]
