Georg von Békésy (3 June 1899 – 13 June 1972) was an Hungarian biophysicist.[1] He won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1961 for his findings on the function of the cochlea in the mammalian inner ear. He was born in Budapest, Hungary and died in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States.
