The third-generation iPad Mini 3 (stylized and marketed as iPad mini 3) is a tablet computer that is made and sold by Apple Inc. It was released on October 22, 2014.[2] It was discontinued on September 9, 2015[3] when the iPad Mini 4 was released.

The iPad Mini 3 is the first iPad Mini to have a Touch ID fingerprint scanner that can be used alongside a passcode to make sure nobody someone doesn’t want to accesses their device.
