Runamuck wielded a friction rifle that shot a beam which dramatically increased the kinetic energy of the molecules of any target it hit. This meant that even the slightest movement of the target produced a tremendous increase in the friction between their bodies and the air molecules, causing flammable objects to burst into flames and melting some metals. Omega Supreme packs a friction cannon, which works on the same principle as Runamuck's weapon does. While it made a big mess out of enemy Decepticons, Omega probably didn't enjoy it as much as Runamuck would've. AllSpark Almanac

- The Transformers Runamuck came with a black friction rifle, though due to his autotransformation engineering Runamuck is entirely a brick and the weapon can only be plugged into what is presented as his shoulder.

- Prime Flamewar came with the Legion Class Vehicon's gun/sword (which was also used by Soundwave) in an ever-so-slightly different shade of translucent purple, now prominently called a friction rifle on her packaging. The weapon features both pegs and a peg-hole so that it can be combined with other Cyberverse weapons.
