NEW DELHI: Delhi will have generally cloudy skies with a possibility of light rain or drizzle on Sunday, according to the
India Meteorological Department.
The minimum temperature recorded was 29.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the maximum temperature is expected to be around 40 degrees Celsius. Rain accompanied by thunderstorms is predicted for Monday and Tuesday.
The
Air Quality Index (AQI) is in the "moderate" category with a reading of 152.
The humidity in Delhi was recorded at 67% at 8:30 am on Sunday. Despite the slightly elevated minimum temperature, residents can expect potential relief from the heat in the form of light rain or drizzle.
According to the India Meteorological Department, "The minimum temperature of 29.6 degrees Celsius is two notches above the season's average."
Predictions for the upcoming days indicate rain and thunderstorms. "Rain accompanied by thunderstorm is expected on Monday and Tuesday," stated the Met department.
The air quality in Delhi is currently in the "moderate" category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, an AQI reading of 152 was recorded at 10 am. An AQI between 101 and 200 is considered "moderate."
