Kartik Aryan returned to the big screen with Chandu Champion after a gap of one full year, his last release was Sameer Vidwans’s Satyaprem Ki Katha. This time around, Kartik stepped into the shoes of Padma Shri award winner and India’s first paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. Chandu Champion has witnessed a roller coaster ride ever since its release, it opened with Rs 4.75 crore, despite ticket prices being slashed to Rs 150. The film then jumped on weekends to collect Rs 7 crore on Saturday and Rs 9.75 crore on Sunday. Chandu Champion then dropped to Rs 5 crore on Monday and on Tuesday it dropped even more, collecting Rs 3.25 crore.
