Kalki 2898 AD Advance sales: Prabhas starrer sells over 50,000 tickets for its premiere shows in USA; mints over US $ 1.6 million

Nag Ashwin’s futuristic mythological sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD starring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani is all set to take the US box office by storm. The film which is slated to release on 27th June, is set to have its premiere on 26th June and fans are eagerly awaiting to see the biggest stars on the big screen.
The film, which is 7 days away from its release, has already earned US $ 1.6 million in the United States of America, by selling nearly 52000 tickets from over 760 cinema locations. Kalki has been on a record breaking spree since the day advance sales started, first it went on to become the fastest Indian film to cross US $ 1 million mark in advance sales. Now, as per the current numbers, it has already entered the list of top 4 premiere grossers for Telugu films. The film also has the second highest number of shows for a Telugu film in the country.
The film, which is considered to be the most expensive film of Indian Cinema, pegged at the budget of nearly Rs 600 crores, is also going to have a wide showcasing in IMAX format. In India, it has secured all 26 screens while across the globe the numbers are still getting locked in.
