Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD crosses US $ 3 million mark in total advance sales in North America

With only 3 days to go for the release of Nag Ashwin’s futuristic mythological sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD, it is all set to create new box office records in North America markets, which is one of the biggest circuits for Indian films outside of India post the success of films like Bahubali series, KGF franchise, Jawan, Animal etc.
Kalki 2898 AD is slated for release on 27th June across the globe with premieres kickstarting on 26th June.The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in lead roles with Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur and Malvika Mohannan and few more reportedly making guest appearances.
The film in North America has till now earned over US $ 3.2 million in total advance sales. The collection includes US $ 2.5 million coming just from the premiere shows across USA and Canada, with USA leading from the front contributing over US $ 2.3 million from sale of nearly 76000 tickets at over 940 cinema locations.
The film is now gunning to beat the highest grossing premiere day sales record held in the circuit by SS Rajamouli, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan’s RRR with US $ 2.75 million
Advance booking for the film has finally opened in India and as well, and the response has been massive. In less than 24 hours, the film has sold over 2 Lakh tickets for its opening day in the country with Telugu and Hindi languages leading from the front.
