'Kantara' star Sapthami Gowda files defamation case against Sridevi

The Kannada film industry has recently found itself at the main stage of major controversies. Now, Sapthami Gowda has filed a defamation case against Sridevi, the ex-wife of young actor Yuva Rajkumar.
According to 123Telugu, she filmed the defamation case against Sridevi for Rs 10 crores. She claims that her marriage to Yuva Rajkumar ended because of an affair between Yuva and Sapthami.Yuva Rajkumar is the nephew of star Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar. Sapthami Gowda is the heroine of the hit film 'Kantara'.
The divorce between Yuva and Sridevi had already garnered significant attention. In various interviews and discussions about the divorce, Sridevi repeatedly blamed Sapthami for the breakdown of her marriage. She alleged that the affair between her husband and Sapthami was the primary reason their marriage did not survive.

Feeling attacked and slandered by these accusations, Sapthami Gowda decided to take legal action. She filed a defamation lawsuit demanding a public apology from Sridevi.
A few days ago, Sridevi addressed the issue on her Instagram page. On January 11, she shared a statement expressing her frustration and disappointment. She mentioned that despite maintaining her silence and dignity throughout the ordeal, she felt compelled to speak out due to the false accusations and narratives being spread about her.

In her statement, Sridevi also referred to the notice sent by her lawyers to Yuva Rajkumar. The notice accused him of having an affair with a co-star for the past year and detailed the mental harassment and cruelty she allegedly endured during their marriage.
