National Doctors' Day

A Tribute To The Torchbearers Of Our Health

Medicines cure diseases but only doctors can cure patients, wrote famous Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. The contribution of doctors to the well-being of humanity and society at large, can hardly be overstated. They are not only the pillars of a country’s healthcare system, the services they offer often come at the cost of their own health. So, in order to acknowledge, celebrate and pay tribute to these heroes with stethoscopes, India observes National Doctors’ Day every year on 1st July on the birth anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a visionary doctor. On the occasion of National Doctors’ Day, Timesofindia.com is hosting a digital conclave, bringing together doctors from a wide range of disciplines as well as policy makers, with the objective of recognising these frontline health warriors.
