Former Olympic athlete reveals why he re-signed with WWE

Chad Gable has been having a rough time on WWE and has found himself facing the wrath of the Wyatt Sicks. He made an appearance on Monday Night Raw and faced off with Jey Uso. Things didn’t go well for Gable; he almost ate Uso’s signature splash but somehow escaped at the last minute.
Gable escaped Uso, but the same can’t be said for the Wyatt Sicks, who ambushed him as he tried to escape through the crowd.While things have been rough on the big screen, the same can’t be said about the situation behind the scenes. Gable has finally put pen to paper and has now re-signed with WWE.
Here’s what the former Olympic athlete had to say about his decision while speaking on Cheap Heat:
“This is where I want to be. I’m like a loyal guy, right? So, I start somewhere I want to finish there. If I start something, anything, I want to finish it”

Gable mentioned that he wants to finish what he started. He explained that a few years ago, finishing things would've meant running down his contract and riding off into the sunset. However, Gable’s priorities have changed now that he’s nearing the end of his career. His finish line has changed as well.
Now, he hopes to win championships and leave behind a solid legacy. While Gable has already won championship titles, none of them is a singles belt. All his triumphs in the WWE have been Tag Team Championships. However, this could all change now that Gable has started to put up some very impressive performances.

Gable will also be a part of the 2024 Money in the Bank match. He will be competing with Drew McIntyre, Carmelo Hayes, Andrade, LA Knight, and Jey Uso as he tries to get his hands on the coveted contract. If he ends up winning the whole thing, Gable’s chances of finally getting a singles title will skyrocket.
Gable has already missed out on one title as he lost to Sami Zayn during WWE Clash At The Castle back in June. However, the Olympic athlete bounced back immediately and defeated Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed just two weeks later.

Gable has a chip on his shoulder, and this new contract could be his opportunity to win everything he’s ever wanted. However, the road ahead will not be easy for Gable. He needs to be consistent with his results if he has any hope of getting back to the top of the WWE.
Apart from titles, Gable also wants to be a ‘guiding light’ to young stars who are just figuring out their way around the WWE. Perhaps this is also part of the legacy that Chad hopes to leave behind when it’s all said and done.
The upcoming Money in the Bank event will prove to be huge for Gable. Since he’s just put pen to paper on a new deal, we can expect him to be refreshed heading into the match.
