In an effort to speed up the relaying of roads, contractors who have not relaid the roads even five days after milling them will be fined 5,000. The move by Greater Chennai Corporation comes in the wake of complaints by residents, particularly two-wheeler riders, that navigating on roads that are milled (the top surface is scraped off before being laid) is an ordeal and that many of them have lost balance on such stretches. As per a circular from corporation commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi, the contractors should relay the roads within three days of milling them.

Academy Chairman Juluru Gowri Shankar on Wednesday announced that a felicitation programme will be held at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad on March 28. He stated that the entire Telangana society is proud that by using Telugu rural phrases, Chandrabose penned an enlivening song that received the admiration of the world.

At the 69th National Film Awards, Telugu cinema once again demonstrated its excellence in Indian cinema. The highlight of the event was Chandra Bose's song "Dham Dham Dham" from the 2021 film 'Konda Polam,' which earned him the prestigious "National Best Lyricist Award." 'Konda Polam' tells the touching story of shepherds who hold the forest in deep reverence, symbolized by the chant "Dham dham dham." Chandrabose's lyrical masterpiece in this song beautifully captures the forest's beauty and the significance of its nymphs, immersing the audience in a world of wonder and enchantment.
