Parvathy Thiruvothu talks about Anju in 'Ullozhukku', says 'Initially, I said no to this character'

Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu has been receiving widespread acclaim for her exceptional performance in the recently released movie 'Ullozhukku'. Starring alongside veteran actress Urvashi, Parvathy has garnered praise for her portrayal of Anju in this Christo Tomy directorial.
As part of the movie's promotional activities, Parvathy appeared as a guest on a recent episode of Star Singer.During her interaction on the show, she opened up about her character, Anju, and the challenges she faced portraying her.

"Anju is that one character which made me apprehensive in my 18-year career," Parvathy shared. "She's a very complex character—very ordinary on the surface but with layers that demand extraordinary depth. Initially, I turned down this role. It was the first time I felt unsure if I could do justice to a character. However, after four years, when the role came back to me, I decided to take it up, believing I could handle it. Yet, within the first week of shooting, I realized I still had much to explore with this character. It presented me with numerous challenges," she confessed.

The revival of Star Singer, featuring musical maestro Vidyasagar as a guest, provided the perfect restart for the show. The show, known for its celebration of music and occasional celebrity guests, recently saw a grand relaunch event where actor Kunchacko Boban also participated.
