Monkey Competition[edit]
Have you asked all the participants on both sides whether they agreed to share their articles with the site they are not contributing to? If this is not clear, it may be a serious problem during the competition. Anton (talk) 16:50, June 3, 2014 (UTC)
- All the entrants know that this is a crosswiki competition. The articles are written in userspace not in the main space. Śo I will link the articles to each others wiki depending on which wiki they choose to write it on. The only thing that needs to be copied from one wiki to another is the main forum page and the results page which can be updated once a day. I can't imagine any problems...though I'll immediately cancel this is users bitch about the cross-wiki nature of the competition or if an admin needlesly disrupts the competition. --ShabiDOO 23:32, June 3, 2014 (UTC)
- Who? Sarah Baldewijns??? --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 09:55, June 4, 2014 (UTC)
- bitch bitch bitch about the cross-wiki (so, is it canceled now? I really hope so.). I'll write mine here because I can't upload images on the other wiki for some ungodly reason. Aleister 12:49 4-6-14
- LOL cool. Sarah Baldewijns is a Belgian friend of mine to helped judge last happy monkey (which was only on the fork). She doesn't have an account on the spoon.
- Im glad per your enthusiasm Ali!!!!!!!! --ShabiDOO 13:52, June 4, 2014 (UTC)
- Suggest she makes one here for 'judging porpoises'. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 17:27, June 4, 2014 (UTC)
- I can ask her to but since the judging scores and comments will be copied and pasted between the wikis I'm not really sure it's necesary. --ShabiDOO 18:21, June 4, 2014 (UTC)
- Tell her if she steps foot on this side of the island she will be raped unmercifully (unless she agrees, then, mercifully). When do you want the topics, I think I have mine. Zombiebaron rode my last topic like a horse to win the contest. Aleister 20:50 4-6-14
- If we are going to do this properly, a user standing as a judge should be available to talk to on either website. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 08:31, June 5, 2014 (UTC)

- Okay. I'll ask her to make an account on the spoon too. --ShabiDOO 20:11, June 5, 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 10:40, June 6, 2014 (UTC)
- Hey, why did you tell him? I was going to do that in the middle of the competition, when everyone would have written their articles. Now without the surprise effect... Anton (talk) 16:57, June 6, 2014 (UTC)

HMC Topic[edit]
I have given you a topic for the HMC. Now I realised that there is already an article about the topic. Could I send you a new one?--(Chatter) 20:31, June 8, 2014 (UTC)

Congratulations on instigating the biggest surge of creative activity the site has seen in a year! I am not in this or moderating it, but TheWikiMan026's entry does seem to fit in UnNews, and he should earn bonus points if he finds a real news story to "base" it on, as conventional UnNewses are expected to do. Also, Smuggler's topic should ultimately not be the literal name of the request but should end up in the HowTo: space. Spıke Ѧ 19:41 14-Jun-14
- I've put mine: A Tale of Two Shities in UnBooks. Also at some point I might change the spelling of made-up word 'Shities' so that it has a double t. I think that spelling is better because with one t, someone might pronounce it: 'Shytees' which wouldn't rhyme with cities.--|(get dtf) 20:35, June 14, 2014 (UTC)
Reverting edits on scorecard page[edit]
It's your competition and not my place to interfere but I thought it might help getting the links right and spelling my user name properly. I was just helping that's all. Sir ScottPat (converse) 18:39, June 15, 2014 (UTC)
I'm out[edit]
I'm sorry but I'm out, I was busy withe end of year exams and shit like that so I didn't have time to write my article. I could be one o the judges though--(Chatter) 18:23, June 16, 2014 (UTC)
- You can try to finish it anyway, and maybe Shabidoo will allow you to still be in the competition, if you don't submit it very late. Anton (talk) 19:27, June 16, 2014 (UTC)
Edits after the deadline[edit]
What happens to an article, if it is edited a few minutes after the deadline? Will the edits be reverted? Anton (talk) 19:27, June 16, 2014 (UTC)
I'm a lazy prick[edit]
I can't find a central list linking to the individual articles. Have you got a list of articles to start working from? • Puppy's talk page • 06:30 am 21 Jun 2014
- Never mind. I found it on the alternate piece of unspecified cutlery. • Puppy's talk page • 06:47 am 21 Jun 2014
- I asked for the score page to be linked on the site notice so that they can be easily found by everyone but it hasn't been done yet. The page is linked on the spoon however and I update the info between each page often. So if you need to find it quickly just go to the spoon and click on the site notice link. --ShabiDOO 16:12, June 21, 2014 (UTC)

Napoleonic Wars on VFH (again)[edit]
Thank you for your previous comments! You said the paragraphs were too dense, which I assume was also caused by the fact that many jokes were unrelated to each other, which I also noticed, and so I tried to fix at least the first paragraphs (intro and the French revolution), because they try to introduce too many things, and so it is especially difficult to get past them, while I think the following paragraphs were mostly concentrated on one event/campaign each, and so are easier to read. So I think the article is in the end, ready.
It would be a great honour for us to have your vote, no matter for or against, so please, could you take a look at the nomination (and/or the article)? Anton (talk) 10:27, June 24, 2014 (UTC)

Pettiness and Nastiness[edit]
Whether it exists or not, it is generally not helpful or polite to accuse others of it. Usually it is better to label behavior than people. I understand that lately you have not been getting along with Spike, but repeatedly provoking him is uncalled for. I considered reducing your ban on the grounds that Spike might be banning someone for expressing disagreement, but decided against it because of the way you expressed your disagreement. How would you feel if someone told you that you were being petty and nasty? It doesn't invoke good feelings, and is therefore impolite. It is an invitation to an argument, and an argument between a user and an admin generally results in the user getting a ban. Arguments are not the goal of our wiki, and only lead to drama. Please be civil, even and especially when dealing with admins. -- Simsilikesims(♀GUN) Talk here. 07:29, June 27, 2014 (UTC)
- Banned for a week for talking inappropriately? What's this then? 13:38, 20 August, 2014 (UTC)
- Read it in context. The user himself said he "was shit at HTML". What Spike meant was that that user not only was bad at HTML, but not good at writing, and useful mostly at pulling others away from the task of writing. This is a common theme I notice Spike uses with newbies, who want some social interaction as well as to write, and sometimes are merely asking for collaboration or help writing. How would you suggest I approach the next time he does this - ban Spike for a week? I do not think that this would help the way he does things, nor would it improve Spike's love for "babysitting". Shabidoo's remarks on the other hand, served merely to label Spike, not explain what was petty that Spike was doing, and as far as "nasty" goes, that word has several potential meanings. Spike can be mean sometimes yes, but as you will soon learn on the other site now that you are an admin there, sometimes admins have to be mean - especially to spammers ;) among other groups of vandals and people acting out. I don't envy the other site the chaos that having that many new admins at once is bound to cause (and did cause the first day). On the other hand, if some of the new admins were the ones who were acting out, then you can just ban each other without taking it personally. -- Simsilikesims(♀GUN) Talk here. 00:37, August 21, 2014 (UTC)
