Len Matuszek came to Toledo from Cincinnati, OH. He lettered four times in baseball, 1973-76, and twice in basketball, 1974-76. He was a starter on the 1975-76 basketball team that finished 18-7. Matuszek averaged 7.4 points per game, shot .506 percent from the field, and was second on the team in assists. He played professionally with the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1981 he led the American Association (AAA) in batting, home runs and RBI, took over for Pete Rose as Phillies regular first baseman in 1984.
