And take a look at this . . .

--- photo courtesy The John Cage Trust.

The photo shows David Tudor and John Cage before a performance in France in 1981.

The focus here is on David Tudor. He is well-known as a fabulous pianist, remarkable electronics performer, musician with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, and longtime colleague of John Cage. And although he is less well-known as a composer, his was one of the most original voices in the history of electronic music.

What's New

From our partners and sponsors . . .

In general, keep watching the EMF Calendar because there's new material every week. And there are occasional reports. There's a letter from Barton McLean in Malaysia. Take a look at the reports of the David Tudor and Sophia Ogielska 'Toneburst' collaboration at Wesleyan University, the ICMC 1996, and Tod Machover's Brain Opera. Note the job notices, equipment sales, and other items.

In general, this site is growing and growing fast. Have a look at the new CDs at CDeMUSIC and the new books in The EMF Store.

And let us know what you think.
