Main Page
from Wikinfo, an internet encyclopedia
Welcome to Wikinfo, or Internet-Encyclopedia, an international project to create a universal open content encyclopedia. The site was launched in July, 2003, and it is a Wiki. Visit the help page or experiment in the sandbox to learn how you can edit any article. So far, there are 24848 Wikinfo articles, with Wikipedia articles available via XML import.
Inspired by Wikipedia, Wikinfo differs in a number of ways, notably in editorial policy, where here, the main article on any subject is written from a sympathetic point of view. Another difference is that Wikinfo is much more tolerant of a number of things Wikipedia is not. For more information, see How we differ from Wikipedia and why - About - Editing priorities - or Start a new page.
- Blue Links take you to Wikinfo articles.
- Green Links take you to imported Wikipedia articles you can edit, or empty articles you can create.
- Mauve Links take you to external websites and other resources.
- Problems you may encounter are listed at known bugs.
- "Its real purpose - its only true purpose - is to explore the unknown"
