Bridge is 'centrepiece of trail'
The new bridge in position
The bridge was designed by Richard La Trobe Bateman from Somerset
A new bridge has been lifted into position across the River Parrett in Somerset.

The Cocklemoor Bridge at Langport had to be hoisted 50ft into the air before it could be slotted into place.

The bridge - which weighs more than 13 tonnes and is 90ft long - was lowered into place on Monday lunchtime and is the centrepiece of the Parrett Trail.

It was designed by Somerset resident Richard La Trobe Bateman and engineer Mark Lovell of Devizes, Wiltshire.
