Bayern Munich reorganised its youth section in 1995 and established the Junior Squad. In addition to the amateurs, there are eleven youth teams in the Junior Squad, managed by 20 instructors. From the D Juniors upwards, the Junior Squad uses a uniform match system, which can be described in simplified form as 4-3-3.
The highest performance levels (Junior A and B) train six times a week. Talented young players from overseas are offered accommodation in a youth apartment block with 13 single rooms inside the club grounds on Säbener Straße. All teams are equipped like the professional teams. |
