Aircraft Safety and Accident Analysis Services

CIC has considerable experience in the computer simulation of aircraft structures under impact. This has been applied to the design and analysis of aircraft structures and systems for improved crash-protection.

CIC also applies this knowledge to the computer reconstruction of aircraft impacts. This has led to the development of CIC's Air Accident Investigation Tool (AAIT) which can be used to simulate and reconstruct crashes. The objective of AAIT is to generate crash information which can not be extracted from other means.

The software integrates the KRASH structural analysis code with the SOMTA occupant dynamics code into a single environment. AAIT output includes prediction of overall aircraft motion, sequence of break-up, contact marks, forces on occupants etc.
