Data Bank

The goal of the NEA in this area is to be the international centre of reference for its member countries with respect to basic nuclear tools, such as computer codes and nuclear data, used for the analysis and prediction of phenomena in the nuclear field; and to provide a direct service to its users by developing, improving and validating these tools and making them available as requested.

Objectives

  • To improve and develop the Data Bank services to scientists in its member countries;
  • To assist its members countries in preserving know-how in computer program and nuclear data validation;
  • To make available expertise to other parts of the NEA.

     

Programme of work

The Data Bank's primary role is to provide scientists in member countries with reliable nuclear data and computer programs for use in different nuclear applications. The services also include thermochemical data for radioactive waste management applications.
