Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror
Issue Run: 1995-presentThe Treehouse of Horror comics come out every year around Halloween and, like the TV specials, always feature three stories in each issue. The stories are written and illustrated by some of the top-of-the-line creators in the comic book biz.
Over the last dozen years, the series has had stories created by such industry stars as Garth Ennis (Preacher), Evan Dorkin (Milk and Cheese), Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan (Blade, Tomb of Dracula) and rock stars Gene Simmons (Kiss), Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie. The comics have the same general feel as their cartoon counterpart and are a welcome departure from the regular sitcom-type stories of the main Simpsons comic.
