Since 2002 Coldplay have been global ambassadors for the Make Trade Fair campaign and one of Oxfam's biggest supporters.

They have helped Oxfam to campaign at their concerts all over the world and continued to support the campaign as as they rose to worldwide fame.

Chris Martin and other members of the band have traveled to Mexico, Ghana, and Haiti to meet farmers and see how unfair trade rules affect those in developing countries. The band also traveled to Cancun, Mexico to lobby world leaders at the 2003 World Trade Organization Summit.

An official survey showed that 84% of 18-24 year old British people know about Oxfam's campaigning work because of Coldplay. Oxfam would like to give a huge thank you to the band for the consistently amazing support they have given to our work over the years.

Coldplay has invited Oxfam on their mammoth Viva La Vida World Tour. Throughout 2008 the band is playing huge shows across 3 continents and 18 countries.

Oxfam volunteers will be there every step of the way, talking to 100,000s of people about how they can take action to overcome poverty.

Pete Lusby, Oxfam's tour manager will be blogging from behind the scenes every step of the way.
