The jury selected 3 national proposals

After two hours of deliberation, the professional and secret jury gathered in the third flour RTVA's building has chosen the three candidate projects to compete in the national final to represent Andorra in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest:

- Susanna Georgi with Get a life

- Lluís Cartes with Exhaust (Exhausted)

- Marc Canturri & Marc Durandeau with Estrelles d'or (Golden stars. Official English name Stars on blue)

The three candidates chosen are among the "closed proposals" chosen on Wednesday 3rd by an internal jury. All of them are projects made in Andorra.

Susanna Georgi
Denmark-born, Susanna Georgi reached it's top hit singing in the band Me & my, next to her sister Perniller Georgi. It was on 1999 with the song Let the love go on.
That song was a real success. Now she is an internationally known solo singer. Susanna arrived to Andorra 13 years ago and since then, she became a lover of Andorra. She also learned Catalan language and this year wants to be the Andorran contestant on the ESC. She wants to try with un uptempo song called Get a life. As a Me & My member, on 2007 Georgi tried to be the Danish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest but ended in the 6th place of the national final.

Lluís Cartes
Born in Andorra, Lluís Cartes has released one disc Camina descalç (Walk barefoot) after wining the Sona 9 prize on 2006. He is famous around Andorra and the Catalan Lands. Cartes usually works with recognized musics as Marc Parrot or Toti Soler. Cartes also worked on theatrical projects as Soldados de Salamina (Salamina Soldiers), Coral Romput (Broken Coral), Música i Veu (Music and voice) or Un tamvia anomenat desig (A Streetcar named Marge). Now, he wants to represent Andorra in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Exhaust (Exhausted). It's a composition from his second sample, which follows the rock style of his first album.

Marc Durandeau & Marc Canturri
Dedicated completely to music and with a gifted voice Marc Durandeau began his career at the age of 10. Then, when he was 18 became one of the most acclaimed recording artists of his Catalonia. Some years later, in 2003 Durandeau signed an exclusive songwriting deal with Universal Music Publishing. Durandeau has won lots of awards as the Number One Billboard -Hot Latin Tracks- 2004 (USA), Composer of the year 2004 by Telemundo (USA), or the BMI Awards Best Song of the year 2005 (USA). He has worked with international artists like Chayanne, Tamara, Cristian Castro, Arnie Roman, Oletta Adams, Cher, Celine Dione, Nina Ossof, Patti Austin, The Temptations, B Four, Luis Enrique, Gloria Estefan and Juan Luís Guerra. Now, he wants to represent the Principality with the Andorran Marc Canturri. 

Canturri is one of the most talented voices of the Pricipality. The baritone used to take part on the ONCA (the National Chamber Orchestra of Andorra) and also have been growing as an artist among the Catalan world of music. They both will perform the song Estrelles d'or (Golden stars -the original name of the song in English is Stars on blue). Canturri will play the central rol on the stage singing the lyrics composed by Durandeau. The song is a ballade with a message of peace related to the golden stars on the blue background of the European Flag.

The responsible of RTVA's Eurovision Project, Yasmina Canedo, explain that they are very satisfied with the result of the jury votes. She is sure that the chosen projects accomplishes the defined goals: to be a project that encourages the Andorrans to follow the steps to the Eurovision and suport their representative. And, besides, to be a song that can like to the European Audience.

The last choice will be on January, after the three special tv shows in which the songs will be presented to the audience. Then, all the ATV viewers and RNA listeners will have the chance to vote for their favourite proposal. In a fourth show, broadcasted life from Apolo Andorra hall and hosted by Meri Picart, the votes will be counted and summed to the decision of a jury (counting 50%-50%) and the representative artist and song will be revealed.
