Arnold Friberg "The Word of the Lord"
aka "Giving of the Law"
In
1953, master artist Arnold Friberg was selected, after a
world wide search, to join Cecil B. DeMille in producing
the epic motion picture, "The Ten Commandments." Nearly
three years were spent in painstaking research; during that
time, 15 historic paintings were created, including the 72" x
36"
masterpiece depicting Moses on Mount Sinai. In recognition
of his monumental contribution, Mr. Friberg was nominated for
an Academy Award by the Motion Picture Association. When unveiled,
the paintings toured the world, touching the hearts of millions
who viewed them.

and printed title with Bible verse from Exodus 31:18
which says, "And the Lord gave unto Moses, when
He had made an end of communicating with him upon Mount
Sinai, two tablets of testimony, tables of stone, written
with the finger of God."
