'American Idol' Staffers Are Overworked and Underpaid

A group of former 'American Idol' employees are suing the show because they were "overworked," scoops Contact Music.

The suit claims the staffers weren't paid overtime and were forced to falsify their time cards and the company failed to provide subsidized meals and breaks. The ex-employees were only paid for 40-hours despite working "24/7," which defies California labor laws.

Guess Hollywood isn't so glamorous after all.

But even a second performance of Dolly Parton's 'Jolene' couldn't do the trick. Simon himself said it was good but not good enough. Thus, Alexis is officially out of the competition.

Did the judges make the right call? Did Alexis deserve to go home last night? Or should they have given her a second chance?

Vote now in our poll.

Michael Jackson to Perform on 'Idol'?

Simon Cowell is trying to convince Michael Jackson to make an appearance on 'American Idol.'

Considering that Michael Jackson Week has already come and gone, we're not holding our breath on this one.

Is 'American Idol' Fixed?

'American Idol' may be playing favorites this season.

A gossip item posted on today's Gatecrasher claims the producers and judges have already decided who's making the top four, even though the episode isn't scheduled to air for weeks. The rumored finalists: Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace, Adam Lambert and Lil Rounds.

A source for the site adamantly claimed "those ARE the people," and even said the producers already know who they want to win. "The producers really want it to be Danny or Alexis," she said. "They think they're very commercially viable, have a good image and a great story."

Meanwhile, Adam and Lil are reportedly seen as less desirable winners due to comparisons to past 'Idol's like Chris Daughtry and Fantasia.
