Bike Path Pedaling Forward •PDF• •Print• •E-mail•

Saint Louis Street has had a major victory.  The Edwardsville Public Service Committee has approved Public Works to move ahead with creating an intergovernmental agreement with Madison County. This agreement will allow the city to mark the shoulders, on both sides, of redone New Poag road as bike paths. The bike path will begin at the west end of Saint Louis Street, by the cemetery. It will extend out to the Madison County Trail (Morris Trail) by the bridge.  There is still much to be done. The tentative completion date for striping the road and installing bike signage is spring 2010.
