Do you honestly think Kari Ann would have the capacity to deal with computers, or writing complete sentences? :-) :-) :-) I vote that it's someone working on her team to build celebrity status by faking addiction issues to compromise the sobriety and recovery of *genuine* addicts and *genuine* celebrities.

agreed. I wish Vh1 would give her a hair strand test, and check drug levels over time - I honestly do not think she's an addict, but a sub-D celebrity desperately seeking SOME fame/recognition, even if it's by messing with the earnest sobriety efforts of *real* addicts and *real* celebs.

I agree, and I think even worse of her. This sounds awful, but I just feel like her addictions were "manufactured" to get her sub-D-list persona onto THIS television show. First we were to believe she's a "sex addict", and I'm sorry, but how fake was this whole crystal meth thing - the bag search... who tries to bring a bag of crystal with them into rehab, in plain sight, where they know a search will take place? How about how *all* of her drug paraphenilia was conveniently stored in one place? I just can't shake this sense that she's a looney-tunes lamer whose agents are manufacturing addiction issues to get her some air time, in the hopes that they can work with her "bad girl" image - any publicity is good publicity, right? I wish they'd give her a hair strand test; I'd put money on her "addiction" being fake.

Usually, sub-D-list celebrities on this show have the good grace to appreciate that their presence is a *gift*, and to straighten up and fly right. KeriAnn, were she Madonna or Cher, might work with her horrible attitude, but in the few seasons I've seen her she's come across as desperate, disgusting, tacky, petty, racist, bitchy and all-around unwatchable. That's a very difficult image for an otherwise pretty young woman to project, but I can honestly say I eagerly hope for her to get kicked out time and time again, and *never* come back - ever. seriously - Miss teen America, wtf? On the other hand, this show completely changes my images of other celebrities and makes me more interested in their careers. MacKenzie Phillips and Heidi Fleiss stand out in this season as truly amazing women. Yes, they have their issues, but MP under attack is inspiring to behold. Heidi is just starting to touch hers, but the genuineness, awareness, likeability and intelligence of Heidi really shines - even in detox! Anyone else notice how she is the *first* celeb to take an interest in the staff and speak to them as equals? And after this episode, I can honestly say I'm just a fan of MP and wish there was some way to send her a card to let her know how much her presence on the show means. I cried for an hour about her dog dying; what strong, genuine woman to allow us to see such a difficult time.

foxkitten83 , if in deed you are Keri Ann, you need to grow the f*** up! I can understand that you have issues and problems, and can understand getting pissed off at the things some of the people have said to you, but you have to at least listen to whatever they have to say before interrupting them.When there finished telling you whatever,, think about it for a few minutes, process what they have said, and if it relates to you. If so then try to change for the better, your a beautiful woman, but your attitude really really is a HUGE turn off, in many ways..Its really too bad, because I'm sure your a good person, who;s just misunderstood. Tom, your work is great, and is really disappointing to see you in this show. I think Monroe, is extremely bad for you! I have been in a situation like you, and after we both got sober, I realized that we were both triggers for each other, and eventually relapsed. I think you would be better off going your separate way, especially after seeing how you reacted when she came to visit and you immediately wanted to leave...Get better bro. Mike Star, you seem to be a very strong dude, and seem to really be taking advantage of the program and am glad to see that!! I'm sure you have a lot more to offer the music industry, or the world for that matter. In fact all of you have a lot to offer the world. Dennis, I partied with you once a long time ago, and probably wouldn't remember me, but I hope that you straighten up and fly straight! I was always amused by your antics, but I would much rather see you healthy and truly happy, and get back on top of things!!As far as MP well , I think she has some good insight, but needs to keep it to herself, as even I was a little aggravated to see her play little counselor, your even more screwed up than any of them, work your own program, and be quiet and learn instead of forcing your views on everyone!!! As far as the other women in the program, take care of yourselves and be strong, its not easy but I know you all can do it!!!! I myself have battled addiction for over 20 years, due to a car wreck and broken Neck and Back, and mostly have had to deal with taking major amounts of pain meds, and for me, unfortunately it comes down to a quality of life, but I never ever over do the meds, ever. I take what I need to stay out of horrible pain, but never take too much to the point I cannot function in society. I think most of you should be thankful that you have your health and can enjoy a long full life.. I will not. and that sucks, but if I was in your situation, I would get my life together and try my hardest to stay clean, and take what life has to offer! I wish you all the best of luck, and really hope that you all stay strong and get better and enjoy life the way it was meant to be enjoyed!!!! P.S. as someone else said in here I too wish Dr.Drew would talk about the chemical aspect of addiction, and how when after soo many years of doing drugs, that the brain can be left without certain chemicals and can be replaced with therapeutic pharmaceuticals like Suboxone, Methadone, and other things that may help some of these people for the long term success of their treatments!!! I love the show,but kari ann ruins the show she's a waste of time ,she is stupid dum but she does cyrstal for god sake that says it all ,i don't even like watching that dumb girl from the bario she sucks !

Kari Ann is acting like a child. Everyone is supposed to put up with her behavior but she can lash out at everyone in a very cruel way? She deserved to be treated like a child. When Dennis Rodman is rolling his eyes at the way a person is behaving, it's time for that person to seriously rethink that behavior.

Read her book. The details of her abuse are clear -- it was no consensual relationship. He drugged her and raped her repeatedly.

i just want to say that i am a recovering herion addict. and relasped several times through a 17 year battle. I'm now on Suboxone and have been for 9 of my 12 years of sobriety. Why doesnt Dr Drew ever talk about the scientific fact, that opiate abuser's who have used large amounts for several years. No longer produce certain chemicals in the brain. Like seratonin, and other mood related chemicals. Suboxone helps an addict live a normal life without feeling high. It still sends the opiate receptors a synthetic opiate, but it blocks and stops the high and the craving. so my point is....Suboxone is a good thing ! not bad.

oh please - people should say this and should say it this way...people can't talk the right way in real life, let alone when they are in rehab and feeling sick - the way things come out are the way things come out....drew doesn't need to step in - he should let mac and kari ann handle it amoungst themselves so they can learn and be prepared how to handle confrontation or people in general when they go out in the world sober....

I don't think they are dealing with Kari Ann right. True, she is a narcissisit, spoiled, paranoid and rude, but as long as she perceives that MP and others are attacking her, she is going to clam up and run away - typical paranoia behaviour. Drew should immediately step in when Kari Ann perceives she is being attacked and point out that the attacks either are attacks or communication. Personally, if MP talked to me like she talks to Kari Ann, like a child, I wouldn't like it either. In any therapy, you learn how to talk by not saying 'you do this'. What you say is 'I'm affected by what you are saying in this way'. I do think that they give MP a little too much talking time. I want to hear what the other patients say more than what MP has to say.

I like Mackenzie. I was really turned off when I heard about that sex with her father stuff, which really grossed me out but then she didn't even seemed phased by it, which grossed me out even more. But as I was watching the show I forgot all about that and started liking mackenzie. She seems to say the right things and be on top of what herself and others are feelling, really in tune to things. I liked the way she handles that little ***** Kari Ann. When Kari ann said she was always tired and mac said not too tired to put on makeup, it was SO TRUE...and Kari Ann knew it! she is a real spooiled brat..but yeah, mac is great I like her. I don't think she is trying to be a counselor she just gives out her good opinion....

Mac is trying to help and Kari Ann is fortunate to have anybody care...you come to be your own counselor and if she can aide in saving someone, I commend her. Remember a good teacher takes a good idea, and will listen. Kari Ann may never be able to do it. I don't enjoy watching her on T.V.

MacKenzie needs to back the f*** up, she said she was sober for approx 8 months when she reentered Tx for this show, yet she came out stating that she had sex with her father, then no she didn't - she thought the word incest meant something else. She knows all the right things to say, all the standard 12 step talk, and Dr. Drew is eating this up?!? Kari Ann is another case altogether, but I dont hate on her completely. What I dont like is that MP is treated like a " mini counselor" by the staff, if her world was so right she wouldnt be here at all.........

Kari Ann needs to be put down like a Max. Mike Starr is still the only real addict as far as I'm concerned. Tom I believe is a great actor and is using the show to repair his image with the industry. I hope he does, I love his work. Now I've got to go work my own program. Stay Gold

In the preview of the next episode shown at the end, the woman who is talking about her son being dead is Layne Staley's (the deceased former lead singer of Alice in Chains, Mike Starr's bandmate) mother, Nancy McCallum. She is the founder and president of the Layne Staley Fund for Heroin addiction. I'm bewildered to hear that Mike Starr was shot up by Kurt Cobain... I knew he and Layne used together, but as far as I knew, Nirvana and Alice in Chains didn't mingle together often... very interesting, and sad. Mike Starr has been through so much... Layne was his best friend and was the only one around Layne toward the end. I'm very glad that he is getting clean... he has a new band called MOTORCADE. It's good he's making music again. Being kicked out of Alice in Chains was obviously a very hard thing for him. Kari Ann should be kicked off the show. If this were a "real" rehab situation, she would be kicked out of most facilities for her behavior toward staff and patients, but VH1 realizes that where Kari Ann goes drama will follow. They must pressure Dr. Drew to keep her there because on "reality TV", drama = more viewers and higher ratings.

Hey if you look at foxkitten83's profile and her posts..it keeps saying how we need Kari ann on the show.Kari ann is great entertainment and needs her own dating show..she knew what kind of cigarettes were in the blue box, Kari Ann is fine as **** its all there So foxkitten83 has gotta be Kari Ann..

Having been in rehab I can identifiy to so many of the emotions good and bad portrayed on this show. I don't like to say negative things about ppl in recovery because it all comes down to good people having a bad disease. Having said that, Kari Ann is NOT ready or willing to be a participant in her own recovery. The points and things said about her, first of all are being brought to the surface during "group" session where individuals are encouraged to be honest with each other, bring behaviors and characteristics to the table whether it be about themselves or people they are in recovery with. These individuals usually do not come from a place of malice but rather a place of compassion and identify with the fellow addict. They try to put the mirror in front of her face so that she sees that maybe some of her behaviors are "addict" behavior and that maybe she can piece together why she does them. Instead she immediately takes the defense and flips the tables a great way to divert the attention from the very issue that needs to be addressed. TYPICAL ADDICT BEHAVIOR She does not want to or seems ready to recover. It's sad but the addict is stronger than the person where she is concerned.
