Bochum is the Festival Centre in the Metropolitan Ruhr Area, whose attractions draw visitors from far and wide. You can visit the Hall of the Century, a huge old industrial building with a gabled roof and ridge turrets which was once an old gas blower and dynamo station. In April 2003, after extensive renovations, the transformed building was re-opened as the festival headquarters of the RuhrTriennale performing arts festival. MORE
