Hills Latest Company to Withdraw From Crufts

Submitted by Freelance Writers on October 29, 2008 – 2:40 am2 Comments

Hills Pet Food are the latest firm to deal Crufts a blow by announcing they are withdrawing their principle sponsorship of the event.

The decision comes on the back of high profile withdrawals from the RSPCA, Dogs Trust, NDWA and last week’s announcement that long time Crufts associate Pedigree are also withdrawing their sponsorship of the event.

The Kennel Club chairman Ronnie Irving has issued a statement reassuring show enthusiasts that Crufts 2009 will go ahead as planned despite the withdrawals.

With such large sponsorship withdrawing from Crufts, it MUST be time for an AGM and a new committee and sec to be voted in, one that understands dogs and not showing, one that regards canine health as more important than stud book numbers and one that can give us a real health scheme and not the accredited Bull shit8ers scheme that is currently being promoted …
