FFI and our local partner the Ya’axche’ Conservation Trust are engaged on an exciting initiative to plan the management of thousands of acres of land in southern Belize that link the Mayan mountains and the Colombian River to coral reefs and mangrove forests on the Caribbean coast. A managed mosaic of community-owned land and conservation areas will allow a greater amount of biodiversity to be protected.
