USA’s Burn Notice was up a tenth versus last week to a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating, and stablemate Suits was steady with a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating. Finally, a scripted show (‘Burn Notice’) defeated Swamp People, which was down two-tenths from last week to a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating.

Not in the table below, but Ugly Americans scored a 0.4 rating with adults 18-49 down 0.1 vs. last week with adults 18-49, and dropped in viewers as well to 814,000.
We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our source. If you don’t see an original episode of a show here, it’s because it wasn’t in the top 100. I attempt to filter out repeats, kids shows, and most non-primetime shows. Also, to limit the size of the list, I list only the top rated airing of each individual show. Will add extras that @TravisYanan reports later below.

If we see additional ratings from @TravisYanan, I will post them below.
Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2011 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.
1. we see the top 100 cable shows for the DAY (not just primetime) sorted by adults 25-54.
2. for those shows we also see total viewers and adults 18-49
3. we generally get these ~2pm PT. We usually wind up seeing some other data later. Sometimes it’s an hour or two later, sometimes it’s a day or two later
4. we post after we receive the top 100 even though we realize that some shows people are interested won’t be in that list. Our thinking is it’s better than waiting an hour or two, or a day or two to post once we’ve seen everything.
5. we say that a show not showing up in the top 100 doesn’t mean that it went down from last week or that it was as low or lower than the other shows on the list because while we post the 18-49 data, it’s sorted by 25-54. it is often the case where there are shows that ranked as high with 18-49 or higher than shows on the list we see
6. We can’t post what we don’t see, but we don’t feel like waiting (see #4 above)
Next week: The Revenge of the Swamp People!
Nice! Burn Notice hitting season highs. Take that swamp people!
Woot – wasn’t sure it would happen this season since Swamp People was so steady.
I never expected to like Wilfred I just watched it because the previews we so f-ed up but its growing on me.
Nice job on the Burn Notice reboot…they’re on a roll.
Might even beat the Inbred Swamp Trolls next week.
Louie seems to be doing OK, that’s good news.
Futurama held firm, pop the champagne!
whoops, alert!. I left last week’s boilerplate text for UGLY AMERICANS in the post. It actually fell a tenth to a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and 814,000 viewers. Post now corrected.
“Burn Notice” is getting better, last 2 episodes rocked!
Goodbye Ugly Americans.
Go suits!
suits is awesome!!! I hope it sticks around for a long time!!!
FX skews young for its comedies despite okay ratings, I think both Wilfred and Louie will be renewed and IIRC FX produces all their comedies and they’re much cheaper compared to their dramas so lower expectations in ratings.
burn notice is unstoppable!
How is Suits doing compared to Fairly Legal Robert? Is it looking good for renewal?
burn notice rocks
@Sparky, Suits rates much better than Fairly Legal though Fairly Legal aired during the regular season, not the summer so it’s not an apples-to-apples comparison. Barring steep ratings declines, I’d be shocked if Suits wasn’t renewed.
@Sparky
I’m sure Robert can pull the numbers from the archives, but Suits is spanking the ratings of Fairly Legal in both the demos and total viewers. Suits started out at 5 million viewers and has settled in well above 4 million while Fairly Legal started out at 4 million but dropped below 3 million by the end of its first season and below 1.0 in the demo.
Ugly Americans is gone, sad that Comedy Central can’t find another hit in animation other than South Park and Futurama, what the heck are they going to do when those two shows are gone?
