Kerry Earnhardt has been driving a race car since the early 1990’s and has competed in a variety of series throughout his racing career.

It wasn’t until 1992 that Earnhardt entered the racing world as a competitor, when he took the wheel of street stocks running against Earnhardt, Jr., and later his sister Kelley.  Following that season, Earnhardt moved to the Goody’s Dash Series, notching eight top-10 finishes in just 11 starts, including a seventh-place finish in his first Florida 200 at Daytona.

The Kannapolis, NC, native took on the challenge of Hickory Motor Speedway the following year in the Late Model Stock ranks.  In 26 starts, Earnhardt claimed one top-five and seven top-10 finishes, placing him 10th in the point standings at the end of the season.  He claimed “Rookie of the Year” honors and returned the next season to claim five top-five finishes and eight top-10 finishes in just 24 starts.

After running select Busch Series races in 1998 and 1999, Earnhardt moved to the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) Series in 2000. In six starts, he posted one victory and four top-five finishes. The 2000 season also marked Earnhardt’s debut in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series when he raced at Michigan International Speedway, competing against his father and brother, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

The 2001 season brought more success to Earnhardt as he claimed three ARCA victories including a win at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Michigan Speedway and in the season finale at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Kerry competed in the NASCAR Busch Series from 2002-2003 with Fitz-Bradshaw Racing and was tabbed to drive the #33 Bass Pro Shops NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Entry for Richard Childress Racing in a limited schedule during the 2004 season.  Along with the limited NEXTEL Cup Schedule, Kerry also raced in the NASCAR Grand National West Series and NASCAR Busch Series.

Kerry recently won the first Bud Pole Award of his career in his first ever start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the Daytona International Speedway in February 2005.  During the 2005 season, Kerry competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Busch Series and NEXTEL Cup Series.  A few of the 2005 season highlights include a top-5 finish in the NASCAR Busch Series race at Talladega, a 10th place qualifying effort at Daytona in the NEXTEL Cup Series and a 17th place finish in the NEXTEL Cup Series at Talladega.

In 2006, Kerry will be competing full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in the #13 Chevrolet Silverado for ThorSport Racing.
