Nation Seeks Community Editor
TheNation.com is seeking an organized news and media junkie with boundless energy to lead and execute our online outreach efforts via social media, and to coordinate, expand and maximize our online conversation with readers, all with the goal of deepening their engagement with The Nation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable with tight deadline pressure and multi-tasking, able to write sparkling and punchy prose cleanly, be familiar with the media landscape and the blogosphere, and possess demonstrated web production skills, including at least basic html knowledge. Responsibilities include staffing social media like Twitter and Facebook, producing and growing The Nation's email products, overseeing The Nation's social media strategy and working with editors to develop The Nation's online community.
