Both Jason Segel and Ed Helms are comedic actors who star in movies between playing leads on popular television series, with Segel on How I Met Your Mother and Helms on The Office.  Now they're both starring in Jeff, Who Lives at Home, a comedic drama from Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass, the duo who wrote, directed, and produced mumblecore mainstays The Puffy Chair and Baghead, as well as 2010's Cyrus.  Segel plays the eponymous Jeff and Helms is his brother Pat, who is having some Porsche and wife-related problems while his sibling attempts to parse out his own existence and destiny.  The first trailer is online, and it promises that the film will be another enjoyably low-key, funny, Duplasstastic little tale with lovable characters.

The words "found footage" immediately make one think of cheap horror films, most of which are pretty terrible.  The faux-documentary approach has been used almost exclusively for superntural-style thrillers, but Project X applies the found footage gimmick to a raucous teen comedy, and the results look most intriguing.  The film, produced by action impresario Joel Silver and The Hangover, Old School, and Road Trip director Todd Phillips, follows a trio of high school guys who throw a party that becomes an out-of-control epic involving cars being driven into pools, a grown adult punching a kid, and what appears to be a full-scale riot.  All these things and more you'll see in the new Project X trailer, which hit today, accompanied by a shiny new one sheet.

Universal Pictures has released a new international trailer for American Reunion, the fourth theatrical installment in the rather improbable American Pie franchise and the first in just a hair under a decade.  The trailer, cut specifically for British audiences, speaks a universal language of sexual humiliation, nostalgia, and public defecation, with Seann William Scott's Stifler finally depositing a bowel movement directly into someone's cooler.  The first half of the trailer is identical to one we saw months ago, but stick with it past the procession of familiar faces sporting high school reunion nametags and you'll get to a lot of all-new footage, including the aforementioned poop business.

Just about a month ago, the first official trailer for Casa de mi Padre provided a very brief, thirty-second glimpse at the wondrous lunacy of the upcoming comedy.  Now, a full theatrical trailer offers a double-barreled blast of gleeful ridiculousness from the film, which stars Will Ferrell as a poor ranch hand.  That might not sound terribly odd, until you consider that Casa de mi Padre contains only a tiny amount of English; it's done in the overblown, melodramatic style of a Mexican soap opera, up to and included almost exclusively Spanish dialogue.  The film is produced by Ferrell's frequent director Adam McKay, and based on this trailer, it contains the happily anarchic, strange spirit of their best work together.

The very first trailer for Wes Anderson's upcoming Moonrise Kingdom has hit online, and it is possibly the single most Wes Anderson-y thing I've ever seen.  Some people detest Anderson's style, with its twee trappings and uniformly deadpan delivery, but those people know by now that they're never going to enjoy what he's cooking up.  In this case, it looks as though the film would cause them to double down on their dislike.

For those of us who like what Anderson does, Moonrise Kingdom looks like a veritable buffet of Andersonized deliciousness.  The 1960's-set story follows a pair of very much in-love kids, played by Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward, who venture out of their New England town, inspiring the locals to mount a search party to find them.  All things Anderson are on display, including many of his regular actors such as Bill Murray (shirtless, carrying an axe, and looking for a tree to chop down), but there are also some big new names in the cast, all of whom look like they're having a damn good time.

On paper, the upcoming Friends With Kids doesn't sound too different from any number of other movies of a certain stripe.  The film follows a pair of Manhattan-based friends in their thirties who decide to have and raise a child together despite not being in a relationship and naturally being drawn to one another.  But the first trailer is out now, and it fairly well promises that Friends With Kids rises above that somewhat-familiar concept.

For one thing, there's an incredible cast, led by the never-disappointing Adam Scott and proven leading lady Jennifer Westfeldt.  The rest of the ensemble is like a Bridesmaids redux, including Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jon Hamm, and Chris O'Dowd working an American accent like a pro.  Though they weren't in Bridesmaids, both Edward Burns and Megan Fox play supporting roles as well.
