PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- The PGA TOUR Policy Board on Monday granted a full allocation of FedExCup points to the PGA TOUR's fall tournaments beginning with the newly reconfigured 2013-2014 schedule. As announced in March, the PGA TOUR season will begin in Oct. 2013 with the current Fall Series and conclude in late Sept. 2014 with the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola.

"With the fall tournaments moving to the front end of the PGA TOUR schedule, the Policy Board believes the next logical step is for these tournaments to kick off the FedExCup and begin awarding full points," said PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem. "All of these tournaments have been very successful and certainly deserve to be part of the FedExCup competition."

With respect to the system to determine the 50 PGA TOUR membership cards through the Nationwide Tour beginning next year, the Policy Board reviewed three options and decided to seek further input and feedback from the PGA TOUR and Nationwide Tour Player Advisory Councils before making a final decision. An announcement will be made at a later date.

As previously announced, the Nationwide Tour season will end with three tournaments that will include the top 75 players on the Nationwide Tour's money list, the players ranked 126-200 on the PGA TOUR's FedExCup points list, and non-members who would have earned enough FedExCup points from their performance on TOUR to place them 126-200 on the official FedExCup points list. The top 50 at the end of those tournaments will receive PGA TOUR membership for the following season.

In other action, the Policy Board approved naming the annual Order of Merit for PGA TOUR Latinoamerica after World Golf Hall of Fame member Roberto de Vicenzo of Argentina. The Tour's leading money winner will be recognized as the recipient of the Roberto de Vicenzo Award. PGA TOUR Latinoamerica will debut this fall with 11 tournaments throughout Latin America.
