The YoungSuk C. Chi '83 and John R. Ingram '83 Endowed Fund for Athletics announced

The Princeton University Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the creation of the YoungSuk C. Chi '83 and John R. Ingram '83 Endowed Fund for Athletics. The generous gift of Mssrs. Chi and Ingram will be used to fund the highest priority initiatives of the Princeton University Department of Athletics as determined by the Director of Athletics.

Current Director of Athletics, Gary Walters '67, has expressed his sincere appreciation for the fund and noted "this breakthrough gift is particularly meaningful because Y.S. and John, close friends and classmates, genuinely understand and support the role that intercollegiate athletics plays in the holistic education of our student-athletes."

Y.S. Chi '83 is a prominent figure in international publishing, currently serving as the Vice Chairman of Elsevier, the global leader in scientific, technical and medical information publishing and previously serving as the President of Random House. Mr. Chi currently serves on Princeton University's Board of Trustees as well as holding positions as a trustee of Princeton University Press, a member of the Board of Directors of Association of American Publishers, and a member of East Asian Studies Advisory Council and Princeton Varsity Club Advisory Committee. 

John Ingram '83, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ingram Industries, Inc., also serves as the Chairman of Ingram Book Group, Lightning Source Inc., and Ingram Digital Group. Mr. Ingram is a member of the Board of Directors of Ingram Micro Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors for the National Center for Learning Disabilities. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Vanderbilt University, Montgomery Bell Academy, and The Harpeth Hall School in Nashville. He is also a member of the Princeton Varsity Club Advisory Committee.
