SEVERAL Israel Aircraft Industries experts and officials have recently criticized the air force for preferring to buy Apache attack helicopters rather than upgrading the older Cobra helicopters it already has. The experts said they had recommended the air force seriously consider technologically upgrading its Cobra fleet with new state-of-the-art systems, including a new fire control system, rather than invest in the purchase of new Apache helicopters.
