Michelle Washington has worked for The Virginian-Pilot since 2003. Michelle has been a journalist since graduating from Washington and Lee University in 1994. She covered crime and courts for two years at the Danville Register & Bee and then spent about seven years covering a variety of topics at The Fayetteville (N.C.) Observer. Michelle covered Norfolk’s courts for seven years for The Pilot and served as the paper’s entertainment editor.
Michelle is from Sayre, Pa. She lives in Norfolk with her husband and children.
