Information Alert Graphic

Issue with MyWay student cards being rectified - 8 April

Concessions

Bus fares increased on 4 February 2013.

With the change over to the MyWay ticketing system, the fare structure has been changed with many of the ticket types now no longer required.

Concession and pensioner off-peak tickets will be replaced by a week day of-peak single trip (with free 90 minute transfer) for a flat fare of $0.55 cents per trip which should prove cheaper for most customers.

To take advantage of the new fare structure concession holders will be required to have their MyWay cards updated to acknowledge their entitlement. To do this concession holders should complete an application for a concession MyWay card (PDF 211KB) and present it at any MyWay Centre or Canberra Connect shopfront. Concession holders will be required to present proof of their entitlement (including current identification) to staff who will then update the card for use.

Concession holders who tag on and off buses can then travel using their MyWay cards accessing the new fares structure. A further 5% discount is available when cards are topped up using autoload (direct debit) (PDF 227KB) or BPAY.
