Nintendo has finally confirmed the Wii U's launch lineup. The Mario maker today announced 23 games that will launch with the console on November 18 in North America and laid out plans for an additional 29 to arrive during "launch window," which Nintendo holds as by March 31, 2013.
Nintendo reiterated that titles like Nintendo Land (bundled with a $350 Deluxe Wii U), New Super Mario Bros. U, and ZombiU will launch November 18, but also noted that Ubisoft's much-hyped Assassin's Creed III and Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be available day-and-date with the console.
The Wii U will arrive in Europe and Australia on November 30, with a Japanese launch slated for Japan on December 8. A Nintendo representative confirmed that the lineup announced today is only for North America.

Stop calling them the Mario maker you son of a b*tch!
I am hoping for a HD remake of the luigis mansion 2 within a year or so of launch , with that I can wait a bit lnoger for the anticipated 2014 Zelda game. Gamecubes LM was rocking and im sure the 3ds is alot of fun too but I refuse to buy 3ds
I meant WHERE the F$$K is Bayonetta 2. Not WHAT the F$$K is Bayonetta 2. You don't need to tell me how good the game is, I got it, love it and will be getting the Wii U just for it, thank you very much.
I might get Tekken and Ninja Gaiden also Warriors Orochi ..ah wait the price.. hmm.. ok one game umm.. Zombie U LOL! and than I will pick up another one next paycheck.
Ok I decided I want a Wii U.. I hope I can get my hands on one will have to stand outside from 12am to 6am but no big I did that for the gamecube and it was very fun.. sides the fact that I had to pee haha I will remember not to drink anything before leaving.
If I buy a Wii U, what happens to all of the digital games I downloadedon my Wii?
You know I want this a little bit just because I won't be able to play the new super smash brothers without it. But I'm not sold on buying another Nintendo system just to buy Super Smash Brothers, Zelda, and maybe a Mario title. I might just stick it out with the PS3 because all of the major games will be Xbox ports anyway.
The Wonderful 101 Aliens: Colonial Marines? i'm not sure how well those two would go together...
I guess the tablet features might work for Madden and FIFA. It would be cool if you could take the game with you on the tablet and have online matches. But, I will wait to see if Nintendo will impress.
as much as i want it to be a true next gen...i think its more of a HD Wii with a new controller. now, that being said...im still buying it day 1. look at the games. my ps3 and games already sold and nov 19 cant come soon enough. im replaying LOZ SS until then...
nfs was never announced for wii u , the next one should be on wii u but this one is not
3DS doesn't get this kind of catering still yet.
What happen with need for speed?
Next time, could you guys insert hyperlinks for the game's titles ?? I'm sure it's ok if you add a hyperlink to THAT particular game within gamespot !
Example: FIFA Soccer 13 = http://www.gamespot.com/fifa-soccer-13/platform/wii-u/
You make sure you put it for the right platform too!
Seriously, people get paid for this ???
Cool :P
Where's Zombie U?
I'm afraid about the Brazilian release and price... it will be probably as expensive as a PS3 or a Xbox 360 with Kinect...
That is a pretty awesome launch line up. Tell me a system that came out with a ton of awesome "new" games on launch day.
Welcome to the 7th generation, Nintendo. Unfortunately, we can't stay but a couple more years. We are sorry we are leaving you again, but we have been here for a while and it's about to be time to move on.
I work with a guy who was talkin so much crap out the Wii U. He went on and on. "All the launch titles are just Remakes and PS3games" 32GB isn't enough blah blah blah... I just looked at him and said "Don't get it" He replied: ".....I have to"
lol
Darksiders II on launch date? time to save my money up. I just hope Blazblue Chrono Phantasmafinds its way onto the WiiU eventually.
Yep: looks like Nintendo's on a path to outcompete and crush Sony and Microsoft. They could do it, too: it's just that they like to make new things over at Nintendo.
Pikman 3!!!!!!!!!!
and unless you can play these games on wii original i suggest you shut up
oh so is all those in dec and game and wario , have fun
@deltaalphagamma zombie u nintendo land mario new super mario bros u
pikmin3 bayonetta 2 , cod bo 2 007 legends , rayman legends rabbitsland and many many more , are new games thank you have a nice day !
new game system but no new games, my gosh
@xeidog69 I believe that they're also working on a new Luigi's Mansion on Wii U, I do remember reading it somewhere
@GreySeven Nintendo has said that there will be the ability to transfer your old downloaded games from your Wii to your Wii U.
@mariokart64fan it was anounced and shown as one of the available versions of the game from multiple sites
@WarAnakin yeah nice copy and paste right?
@darkeyez81 4th last in the November 18 list.
@realguitarhero5 Actually this is the Wii U, i think u commented on the wrong link 7th gen was Wii, they are saying welcome to the 8th did you see the "U" after the Wii or did you not get that memo??? (office space reference"
@realguitarhero5
Aww how cute, that's fine, I hope you can save up $800 (and probably $70-$80 per game) if the 8th generation is what you believe it's going to be. I'm pretty sure if that happens, hardly anyone, gamers or developers, is going to be leaving Nintendo, especially in these "tough economic times"
@realguitarhero5 And again. What akes a 7th gen console 7th gen. What are ther requirements and what are they for the 8th gen.
@GamespotSux_IKR yes but a good thing to say is that they've said that you can plug in a hard drive to add more space very easily
@GamespotSux_IKR What a noob. Nintendo's making its classic, lighthearted games and is supplementing them with violent, darker, PS3 games. And to be honest, they'll do it better. The controller has me psyched, as well. Oh, how long it's been since Nintendo's controller's had bumpers and analog sticks and all that...
@GamespotSux_IKR
Hilarious, I MIGHT be working at Gamestop starting mid October for seasonal and I'm wondering what BS I'm going to have to put up with.
Oh and I'm loving the username.
@DevaGolgotha The Wii was able to surpass the 360 and PS3 in sales with first-party titles and the rare third-party gems alone. Imagine how well the Wii U will sell with actual third-party support as well.
@deltaalphagamma oh really? I think something's wrong with your eye sight because I see quite a lot of new games there
@emptycow lol you are still here bashing the wiiu damn you need to get a life
@emptycow wait wait wait are you comparing a ps3-end of the life cycle-2nd party game to a Wii U-beginning of the life cycle-devs just got the final kits at the beginning of this year-Double screen rendering-games are NATIVE 1080p game??? you do realize that if naughty dog had the kit to the wii u they could render it to the wii u in no time AND MAKE IT 1080p NATIVE INSTEAD OF 720 UPSCALED right?!...just wondering if u knew that
@emptycow
I'll see your Uncharted and raise you Zelda.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9uYCU8jFiU
Sure it's just a tech demo, but most likely the actual Zelda game will look even better than this.
@LordWaffleKing @DevaGolgotha Very. If butthurt fanboys get their heads out of their asses and stop calling the Wii U another gimmick softcore console, which it obviously isn't, it'll be a slaughter by Ninty.
@shadowhunter0 @emptycow yeah I just flagged all of his comments as off topic so hopefully they'll be gone soon
@Zelseisdabest @emptycow exactly the PS3 only has about 20 games in it's line up that are actually 1080P
@Zelseisdabest @emptycow The WiiU is 1080p native, it doesn't upscale anything.
@abHS4L88 @emptycow you just played a royal flush on his 4 of a kind
@abHS4L88 @emptycow well played my friend
